Frankincense is an aromatic resin obtained from Boswellia, a tree found in mountainous, rocky and arid parts of Asia that can grow to a height of around 10 m. Dubbed “the King of Oils”, this aromatic resin has been used in traditional Indian, Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. In ancient Egypt, Frankincense was used to embalm the dead. The resin from various species of Boswellia was also burned during sacred rituals as the smoke induced a state conducive to meditation and prayer.
Frankincense – India essential oil is used in aromatherapy as nerve calming, to help relieve cold and cough symptoms.
POSOLOGYTopical (Adults): Mix 2 to 4 drops in _ teaspoon (2.5ml) of vegetable oil; apply locally, 3 times a day. Inhalation : Add 4 to 12 drops to a bowl of steaming hot water or a diffuser. Inhale slowly and deeply for 5-10 minutes.

WARNINGFOR EXTERNAL AND OCCASIONAL USE ONLY. DO NOT TAKE ORALLY. DO NOT USE ESSENTIAL OILS UNDILUTED. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. If accidental ingestion occurs, seek urgent medical attention or contact a Poison Control Center. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes; if this happens, rinse thoroughly with vegetable oil. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you have epilepsy or asthma, consult a health care practitioner prior to use. May cause allergic reaction (e.g. skin rashes, irritation, dermatitis); in which case, discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner. If nausea, dizziness, headache or allergic reactions occur, discontinue use. Do not use on inflamed skin or if suffering from dermatitis. Avoid exposing treated area to sunlight. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms worsen or persist.
